Work is no fun!
Back home and this second day of work is brutal.
I know I cannot retire yet and no Circus to run away to. (Haywire humor)
It was nice to see some of you again during my two weeks there. (though I spent less time on the pier than I usually do)
It is nice to stop by once or twice a year and find friends.
Planned to get back to the pier for a couple of full days last week to say good bye but the rains changed my plans.
The reports for the pier were not so good so I had to try the beach at GS Plantation where I stayed and Fort Morgan.
Also hit the golf course.
Last Friday morning rains were some of the worst I have ever seen.
Apologies for not getting to say hi again and bye to Slim, Stephanie, Robert, Haywire, and Max. (and I am sure more)
I hope to see you again.
Mike

Be careful what you wish for, Mike. The first time I ran away to the circus, they gave me a shovel and pointed me toward the elephant tent. I went in the front, sniffed, went out the back and kept going. I left the shovel.
The next time, they let me sleep in an old trailer (I think the baboon died there) and the next morning when I woke up, the rest of the circus was gone---just my broken down trailer in an empty lot. I took the hint---but I still have certain feelings toward the tattooed lady. You should have seen her---never mind, I promised I wouldn't tell.

I have a plan! I'll be 65 next year and I own my own business. I'm already making plans to wind down my business, setting May 31, 2018 as the cut-off date. After that, if we haven't sold the business outright, we'll liquidate the assets, sell our properties (residence/business) and make the move (Foley/Orange Beach) next summer. Having a plan makes work more bearable, with each day bringing me closer to spending most mornings on the pier watching the sun rise and catching fish.
On a related note, I'm also getting in better physical shape, walking a couple of miles every day and watching what I eat, so that maybe I'll get a few extra days doing what I love to do! I have a plan!

Bob Denver was Gilligan...John Denver talked to God. FWIW...
I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
