Now I can come back to the coast a happier man. I finally killed a gobbler. Granted, he was only a two year-old, but two year-old gobblers are God's gift to inept turkey hunters such as myself. Killed him at 19 steps.
Now, if somebody can just catch an eleventh hour king for me, I'll really celebrate. ---Break out the good root beer and the potato chips that haven't gone stale yet.

Man oh Man....this morning I went out at daylight took out my beaver teeth and string of spurs...looked to the east and said..."Too all the birds that walk in Haywire's range will not return from whence they came" I repeated at all four directions on the compass...

Congrat's Mr George your surely not going to stop at 1 are you? although that is enough....I will be lucky to get that,,,,it sure will take luck on my part, not really a turkey hunter, I much prefer deer hunting and never wanted to pay the same money for a tag to hunt them, now it's free so I will go if I can make the time
