What's the big hold up on the bar & grill getting completed?
Seems like this project was started at the end of fall last year and this is as far as they have come? Sounds like someone is getting paid by the hour and not by the job completion. lol here's an extra hammer to speed things up a bit. :violent

Ya got to remember it's a state project, not free enterprise.

Re: What's the big hold up on the bar & grill getting completed?
The last time I was at the pier, there was one guy working on the project and during a lull in the fishing, I took a bearing on him and ten minutes later took another---he had actually moved over two feet during the interval. A little later in the day, I thought I heard a Skilsaw running, but can't swear to it. Don't know if he actually works for the State or is a sub-contractor---same difference.

[font=comic sans ms][size=12pt]They are basically constructing a whole building. There are apparently a bunch of codes to meet when you plan on serving food. They had to put a full roof on the structure even though it is under the pavilion roof. There are also going to build a kitchen in the back half of the pier office.
They are in the process of running power and computer lines and also setting up for the drink fountain to feed from inside the main building to the bar.
I asked what was taking so long and got a tour. I thought it was just going to be a lean-to type thing, but there is a lot more to it than meets the eye.

They built the Gulf restaurant at the pass quicker than this project, I mean come on, let's get moving already. I was looking forward to a Bud Light before I go on the pier to fish and then another when I was done fishing.
