    What a year!

Even though Thanksgiving is traditionally the day to count your blessings, I think that the end of the year is an especially appropriate time to do that, too. This year started with us moving from north Foley to south Foley. What a great move! It's an ideal location for us for a number of reasons.
I've gotten to meet and know better a number of people I call my friends. What could be more valuable? I've been able to spend many mornings on the pier watching the sun rise. What a treat that spectacle is! On those occasions, the moment belongs to me and I find each day thrilling.
We made a new start with our performance group and we've secured regular gigs at local establishments. Come see Night Star if you can! We're at the American Legion every second Saturday, usually one "Fish Friday" a month at the Elks Lodge in Foley, a couple of gigs a month in Pensacola and we usually work in one more local gigs a month at a restaurant/bar/club in Gulf Shores, Foley or Orange Beach.
I've cultivated a few new "secret spots" for fishing at places other than the pier. It's important for times like now when pier fishing hits a lull in the action. Those alternate sites will come in handy for years to come. If I'm not sharing a pier experience in "Pier Reports", I might be trying my luck at one of those other super-secret locations.
It has been just a wonderful year for me and I hope that 2021 has been equally excellent for you! I wish good health, happiness and prosperity for you and your family in the upcoming year. I hope that you find 2022 fulfilling, exciting and may you wake up each day to discover a treasure out there, just for you.
