What a ripoff---
I was traveling through one of the small towns between the Coast and hunting camp when I noticed that the folks who lived there had decorated the light poles with huge candy canes, and that brought a smile to my face because it made me remember how much I enjoyed having the candy canes decorating the trees that Mom and Dad put up when I was a kid. It made me think that I'd found a little piece of heaven, but after I went to all the trouble to shinny up one of the poles, I discovered that those big canes were awful---tasted like plastic and Styrofoam.
There goes another treasured childhood Christmas memory, down in flames.
Then again, maybe candy canes are like some fish---the little ones always taste better than the big ones. If y'all get the chance, see if you can do some comparisons for me. I'm still trying to get the chunks of the big one out from between my teeth.

I wish I had seen this yesterday....
I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
