It looks like some kind of computer malfunction. Three channels went out on Oct 22 and then all stopped on the 27th.

They say it will be checked out when they can work it into the cycle. I guess after that it depends on what they find. Obviously not important enough to warrant a special mission.
In the past when it went adrift they posted that information, so I guess somebody has gone by close enough to establish that it is still there.
Sensor/ system failure!
But it still doesn't show up on the Weekly Maintenance Schedule @ NDBC - Operations/Maintenance ScheduleQuote:
Air temperature and humidity data failed 10/22/17. All transmissions stopped 10/27/17.
It certainly wouldn't 'hurt our cause' if they were to get inquiries as to WHEN the buoy will be returned to service.

Thanks. I sent them an email. Is there another Bouy that gives the wave heights that is fairly close?
took some time off for the holidays.
42040 is 60 miles south
Wave heights are hourly in the chart below the usual display.

The Navarre pier cam rotates automatically from the pier to the beach so you can get a good look at the Gulf. It's close enough to be of use (for me anyway). If you click on it and it is showing the beach, just wait a minute. It shows beach west, the foot of the pier, beach east, then the end of pier close-up and longer range, about 4 minutes for full cycle.
