As I write this, it is 3 degrees warmer in Northern Wisconsin than Gulf Shores...

I would say this is evidence of a strong El Nino - check back in a few months and lets compare notes ...until then, enjoy!

Probably from all that hot air from everyone up there saying they were going to beat Alabama! Either that or the steam coming off them from losing!
