How did we ever make out on the "Vote now vote often" campaign for Ranger Rick?

Every time I hear about some "undiscovered gem" or "best kept secret" of a place, I just shake my head in sorrow because it's about to change, and seldom for the better.
---And yes, I am a curmudgeon, a Luddite, an isolationist and a grumpy old fart who seldom likes change and never likes it forced on him.

I have been coming to the area since 1948 as a kid. I have traveled a lot but this still ranks as one of my favorites. Local governments do need to recognize the dollars brought by fishermen and act accordingly. The Perdido Pass access situation is a terrible embarrassment for the area.

Sorry, but I had to vote for Rockport, Texas. It's the only true small town on the list situated where the climate suits me.
I've got a new, never used, large 36" pier fishing net for sale with 30' heavy duty rope. Looking to get just $38 and no extra tax! Msg me if you want pics.
