It has been so long since I caught a salt water fish that I'm about to get a case of the quivering fantods, and that's even worse than it sounds, but damme if I'm going to go out on the pier in this weather and contract some even more virulent affliction. I'm depending on Todd and his Wisconsin stamina to let me know when to air up the tires on my cart. I even let my yearly pier pass expire.

I wonder if shrimp snogging is going to be as effective on the sheepshead this year as it was last spring. I found it hard to believe how well it worked to give my shrimp a big, sloppy lick before dropping it down, but it did, and it worked repeatedly---me catching fish and nobody else getting a nibble until they licked their own shrimp. Unhygienic? Sure, but we're talking about catching fish here, people, not some trivial, unimportant pastime. This is serious business. I just have to make sure all my shots are up to date. Hmmm---do they make a tongue condom? If they don't they should.

Sorry, I might be getting February cabin fever.

Go to the freezer and get out a pack of something and cook it for lunch. It will slightly ease the urgency factor. I am sitting here watching a fishing show in the Dry Tortugas and my wife asks "would you like to go down in the Florida Keys and see how it has changed since we were last there"? I almost told her to START PACKING. Last month we did a trip to Las Vegas to see how it had changed since we were last there in the mid 1980's. She is sitting on the other side of the room goading me now with statements such as "we are not getting any younger". If my income tax was finished I might just tell her to start packing. Willpower gets weaker as you age!

As far as your yearly pass goes I made you a good deal yesterday by offering to trade the balance my 6 months pier pass (4 months remaining) for a library card. As for as the condom goes, any sized condom, new or used, should fit over your tongue Perhaps a used condom, depending on where it been, may work better than the unprotected tongue. If you survive this ordeal, I would like to meet you sometime if you would ever come out of hibernation. I have some fantastic Walleye stories to tell you. Besides that, Fin and Pier#r say that your are a pretty good fellow, but do have some afflictions.
