Totaly off topic..shooting
Anyone have experience with the 300 AAC Blackout. Trying real hard to avoid the urge to get an upper to put on one of the AR's. Not really effective out past 150 yards but, a 30 cal rifle on an AR platform sounds like fun. "Suppressor" is way out of the price range but the sub-sonic rounds are rumored to be accurate to 100 yds and fairly quiet. What say you!

they are good rounds but if you want something to reach out a little more check out the .277 wolverine round. its a barrel swap just like the blackout but it has a higher velocity and better accuracy and range. ammo is fairly comparable and can be found at Ammo Store they also sell barrels and uppers... i can vouch for his ammo (i have 1k of his 9mm). but he also sells the blackout ammo if you want to stick with that round but the wolverine is worth a little research i think... i am building one as soon as i put back enough money to be my hunting gun

Just save up a little while and buy an AR10.
Then you can reach out and touch things.Ragnar Benson:

I've learned a lot about this round over the last few months. Its a round thats made for short barrels and close quarter combat. A good friend of mine has a 300 blackout 7.5in barrel in a pistol configuration. Its a ton of fun to shot and definitely packs a bigger punch than the .223 and is a lot more accurate than a 762x39. The best thing about the 300 blkout is all you need is the barrel. Everything else from your AR is compatible. Around here (north west arkansas) the ammo is hard to find and is a little on the high side. But its a blast to shoot and from around 50-75 yards and closer this is definitely a weapon you'd want in a shtf type of scenario

Firemansam, 277 wolverine, now that's interesting! Looked it up. That is pretty hot. Found a FB site pre-ordering Lee dies. Energy and drop at 250 yds is noticeable difference. Have to bring it up to my "gun man".
Chili, yes a 308 was my first choice and an a10 may come in one day. Can buy a whole lot of x-raps with the difference between a10 and new upper!

I'm looking real hard at a 6.8 SPC 20' upper. It has the extended range and heavier bullet.
I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
