An American Icon
Today June 11th 1979 We lost the "Duke", John Wayne lost his battle with cancer.
I was at Ft.Knox Ky. at tank turret school when we heard it on the radio that he passed away, 70 loud and rowdy young Soldiers in a open Bay barracks Fell Silent.
It's a shame Hollywood can't muster up some more like him, Today's Hollywood
conservative, patriotic, God fearing, puts you on the outside looking in.If you are going to fight, fight like you are the third monkey on the ramp to Noah's ark and brother, it's starting to rain!
