we have a small sturgis rally here in Mississippi that they are starting back up after a couple years of it not being done! lot easier for me to ride 20 miles than however many it would be up to the Dakotas

I went to Sturgis once -- with my family and young kids on the world's worst-timed vacation. We ended up in a bed-and-breakfast that was being newly opened just for the bikers; they took pity on us and let us test it out to be sure it was good enough for the intended audience. My wife still carries that story in her six-shooter of my worst decisions ever.
Memories. That's what traveling is really all about.

1500 miles since Thursday. Bout 2k more in the next week. Be as ready as I'm gonna be.

Bike is coming back from the custom paint guy in the morning. Starting with this......the bird, not the pentagram or other stuff....starts on the front fender and finishes at the back edge of the rear fender
