    Sweet Tea Discussion

    (Moved from a former discussion)

... the snack bar has come a long way from what it was.

I am just glad they serve unsweet tea.

Whimps. oke: bet you guys put that sweetener and creamer crap in your coffees too.

I once asked my cousin, "so, how much coffee are you going to add to your sugar?"

You guys drink that syrup they call sweet tea. Drink it all, please.

I'll take the real deal. :headbang: :yay:

Unsweet T and Black Coffee. Yeap, that's what's wrong with me.

    Re: Sweet Tea Discussion

I've got to agree with VG on the unsweetened tea. Some of the syrup folks call good tea is downright vile. I seriously doubt many of you sweet tea supporters know what tea tastes like. Too much sugar prevents one from tasting the tea. Sugar also prevents the antioxidants in tea from doing you any good. May as well just stir in a cup or two of sugar in a gallon of water, it's basically the same thing, definitely the same taste.

I like plain green tea if its hot. I must confess, though, before i sold Joyful Cup Cafe, i took an occassion liking to a french vanilla flavor as long as i added some caramel and drank it with coffee cubes.

I'm from Denmark, so i suppose for me being anything like a southerner is more by geographical preference. I'm more into spicey foods than sweet, personally. Tell you what, though, there's one woman who can make a tolerable sweet tea, and that's charlie v's gal, patti. I can drink hers because the sweetness can barely be detected. :headbang:

    Re: Sweet Tea Discussion

After I get through putting the lemon and sweetener in my tea, it may not resemble tea very much, but it makes me happy. Same with coffee with cream and sugar. Don't care much for bitter. It makes my dentist happy, too.
