In the past few months working on the ambulance I have seen lives saved by those with god's hands on their shoulders, and those who were chosen to join him in eternity. Fortunately for us, we get to go home every night at the end of our shift. I am not a very publicly religious person, and not to great with my words when it comes to things like this. But I can't imagine being that far away from my family and not being able to spend time with them on Christmas. The things that those men and women go through just to keep us safe is truly amazing and heartbreaking at the same time. I know that not all of them will return home, but I pray that god watches over each and every soul that serves this country in any form, because I know I surly couldn't handle the stress of being away.
