spams!?!?!?!

I just looked at the spam statice on the bottom of the forum home paige, like 1700 spammers denied membership to the forum. Now I'm not a big computer guy, and correct me if I'm wrong, but that seems like a lot of spammers trying to get on here, did any of the moderators flip off any voodoo priests in trafic or somthing??!?!?!? because that kind sounds like alot for the knew forum only being up for a couple weeks :confused: moderators must be hard at work to keep what happened to the forum before last from happening to this one! my thanks extended to you all!!!

I know your currently unavailable but I will respond anyway...It's my experience that this is not an unheard of number. The internet is a cesspool with all of the spyware/ malware, viruses, worms, etc floating around in it...When you take into account that this forum is sitting out there in that "cesspool" these numbers aren't hard to imagine. In comparrison, your PC/ smart phone is only going where you tell it to, when you tell it to. So the number of occurrences you would encounter is more controlled.


On the other hand...a few of those numbers (not many) could be attributed to real human errors such as people typing in the security words wrong and such when registering.
