Shrimp bait made from a straw
Couldn't decide if this should be posted here or in DIY. I know that it wouldn't last long but ran across this video and wanted to share it.

I'm not sure what type of squid tha is, but damnedest thing I've ever seen made. But, as you point out, seems it wouldn't last long! Thanks for sharing Dave.

O.K. Never caught or saw one of those. Looked similar at the mouth to what I thought a larger squid would look like. Thanks.

I thought it looked amazing. I'm gonna give it a shot maybe this weekend since it'll be so cold. I know that it's not very practical as far as its longevity is concerned but looks fun to make.

They make it look easy, but I don't have near enough manual dexterity to do that. I flunked cutting out paper hearts for Valentine's back in kiddie school and never got any better. Heck, I have trouble putting the real thing on a hook without mangling it.

It would make a cool decoration for your desk at work. The dude is an artist but I strongly think if he brought that to the pier, he would quickly change over to a jig or gotcha. Just one missed hookup/pass by a good spanish and....poof! 30 minutes of craftsmanship down the drain. Very cool video though, I enjoyed it.

Here is the best way to create shrimp, and it is fun for them too!
I found a video, but I think it is considered shrimp porn, so I can't post it

I saw one yesterday but it was closed mouth. Would not eat anything thrown. I personally know of 3 that have been caught in the last two weeks. No kings yet.
