Didn't want to derail the picnic thread so posted it here.

If you've never eaten at the "Blue Marlin" you're missing out! The past 4-5yrs I've eaten at quite a few places around GS/OB/Baldwin County and wasn't ever overly impressed, until we went here. Top notch food and great service. No more debating with my better half on where to eat. Good job on a fine establishment southernfishin!

thanks so much! the resturaunt is family owned and has been for 50 years. my great grandmother opened it in the 1950s as a gas station and deli and then in 1980 opened it up as a resturaunt. in the early 2000s my nana and pawpaw took over the resturaunt and its been like that ever since. Thanks a lot for the shout out PnG

It is on Hwy 98 south of Fairhope. Just a mile or toe heading east from the four way stop where it splits into Scenic going west and north.

So are you a Comalander? My son and you are cousins (4th) if Robert and Irene are your grandparents.

I didn't know that was your place southernfishin. We live just a couple miles away and have passed it thousands of times but am glad we finally tried it. One of the better ribeyes that I have ever eaten, and the gator bites and fried catfish were amazing. My wife loved the shrimp/crab claw platter. Laid back atmosphere with big portions-keep up the great work!
