No doubt it "is on" in Tenn, 8pt Thur 6:00 am. stayed in tree till 9:45 counted 39 more. We are blessed to be able to hunt with deer populations that were only dreamed of 20 to 30 years ago. Went a decade until I got my first deer, way back when! Used to brag and have people calling you when you SAW one,

When I was a kid, back in the 50's, you could get your name in the paper for seeing a deer track unless you lived down around Choctaw Bluff. I'm looking forward to this Saturday when it gets started here.

I went 3 years when I started hunting before I even saw a deer in the woods. people would come from miles to see it if somebody actually killed one. the only place with a reasonable chance of seeing a deer was the mountains of east Tennessee. rough country.
you mid state guys have it made. I haven't seen 39 deer in the last 3 years combined.
good luck, haywire.
Be careful going home, sons wife is from upper Iowa, her grandmother passed today so they will be headed up shortly, hope all that is gone by the time you all get there
It's over
