remote get away

Guys, I'm trying to find a place to go with my wife that's on the water but somewhat remote. Preferably somewhere I can slip the kayak in and do some descent fishing. Does anyone have any suggestions. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Don't know how remote you want, there's not much remote in GS, but if you put in at the ramp near milepost 8 on Fort Morgan Road there're several miles of bay shoreline between there and Navy Cove condos with no development whatsoever - not a house. Best fishing is probably on the west side of little point clear, in Navy Cove.

There is a spot near Navy Cove (the water, not the condos) where you can put in closer (you'll see it from the road about 3/4 mile east of the condos). This time of year you will need to be at daybreak to catch much in that shallow water. Picturesque, but there's just not much shallow water fishing this time of year.

You might do better over towards Pensacola at Big Lagoon. You can put in at the State Park and work east into the NAS flyway.

If you want surfside, put in at Veterans and work east or go just short of the Fort and work either way.

Mexico Beach or Port St Joe in Florida.

Appalachicola

Sorry for the vagueness in my question. Just looking for a small cabin style place that's not far from the water. That can be Miss. AL. or FL. The remoteness isn't all that important, I just don't won't to be in the cluster of the summer time beach crowd. Hope this helps and thanks again

Joe Wheeler State Park has some cabins right on the water on the Tennessee River. There is a submerged hump 100 yards offshore loaded with bass.

Wind Creek State Park on Lake Martin.

Wait till September and go to Ft. Morgan, it is not busy then.

Salt water

If has to be saltwater, Appalachicola is definitely back in the mix.
Or Suwanee FL, now that is the middle of nowhere with good fishing.
