Recommendations on a baby sitter?

My family cancelled on us at the last minute for meeting us at the beach this year, so I've been mulling the idea over of getting a babysitter for a night so my wife and I could go on a date.

Just curious if any of you have a recommendation for someone you would vouch for to watch a couple kids for 2-3 hours. I'm not sold on the idea yet, and we have some friends in the area that we might be able to work a deal with, but I'd still like to explore options.
