The Post Office
Post Office employees can't understand why the feds are considering eliminating the Postal Service because they spend way more than they take in. Maybe this could be a sample of their over spending. I sent a package from Knoxville Tuesday the the 10th to Wetumpka Alabama. The Post Office routed it from here to Memphis 300 miles west. Memphis then sent it to Atlanta about 400 miles back east, it was scanned in at Atlanta on the 13th. It is now on it's way to Wetumpka and will hopefully get there tomorrow. I know very little about logistics, but what I do know is that you don't go west 300 miles then back east 400 miles to go west again.
Dance naked my friends, life is short.

There is a huge difference between being efficient and being effective. I look at the federal government and wonder why anyone over 25 would put faith in them to do anything efficiently.

I have a lot of respect for many federal employees, especially Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Coast Guard.

I'm a NASA contractor. I think maybe we give back more to the taxpayers than a lot know.

I have the utmost respect for our service men and women. I just wish our government had to live within its means like I do.

You mean sorta like when I need to fly to Tampa from Mobile but have to go to Atlanta first to catch the flight to Tampa??? Nope, don't make sense, but that's logistics.Carl

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
