other options?
So, since I'm here for another few days and it looks like the weather will be less than cooperative for fishing surf and pier- can anyone think of any options that don't involve hanging at my campsite?

Tour Fort Morgan.
Go the Nature Center at GSP.
Pensacola Naval Air Museum is amazing and a short drive
The new Maritime Museum and Exploreum in downtown Mobile
Hike the Hugh Branyon Trail system. Never know what you will see, bobcats, gators, hogs, coyotes, all sorts of birds, etc...
Go to the Baldwin County Heritage MuseumCarl

A night of hookers and smoking crack in Pensacola?
You can find both all along Cervantes between Pace & Mobile Hwy.
I'm kidding of course.

By all means, go to the NAS Aviation Museum on the Pensacola NAS. Just go toward Pensacola on Beach Highway or US 98 and turn south on Blue Angel Parkway. Its well worth paying to see, but it is FREE !!!

If the weather is favorable to the east, I would drive to Pensacola and fish the pier there, where they are apparently catching some better fish!
I like the idea of doing the museum run, too. I've always wanted to...we might make the time this year, since my kids are getting a bit older.

While in the Pcola area stop by Joe Patty's Fish and Sea Food Market . Interesting selections from the usual to mullet gizzards .

Thanks for all the speedy replies everyone. I've already gotten "the talk" from my girlfriend about this not being just a fishing vacation... Lol.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
