Just wondering places around GS and OB that are gonna be progun and those that probally will not get my business.
Dont know about ob but i work in ms. 4daysout of the week and the new open carry is going into effect the first . Alot of the gas stations and even state rest areas have no gun/weapon signs. I told the lady at gas station i stop at "for or against putting a sign like that up is like putting a bullseye on the store to be robbed". Her answer, with a dazed look in her eyes, was " ive been robbed before i dont like guns". I ask her did she thinl a robber would pay attention to that sign? Customers started coming in and didnt get her response, but this is whats wrong people think signs and laws will stop the lawless!
Yup. Might as well put up a big neon sign saying "Please rob us!!". I think its stupid. Its people like that that have not been properly informed/trained in guns and gun safety that are going to ruin this country. I grew up shooting guns. It was a way a life for me. Guns are not the problem. People are the problem.
As soon as I'm of age I'll be going back and forth between a 38. Army Special and probably any heavy barreled 357.revolver. I loved most heavy barreled 357's, I like shooting small trees down with them.
I have a front pocket holster that my public defender goes in, while at Buffalo Wild Wings early this year on Airport Rd in Mobile the butt end of the gun became visible when I sat down. I did not pull it out but the pockets to my khakis were a little loose (the holster has a clip that secures it in my pocket). I did not know it was visible and did not know it was even a problem but was asked to leave immediately. There are very few places that I go without my weapon (thanks to a bad trip to one of my work locations in Memphis). I respect the right of a business to not want weapons in their establishment but like the post said earlier they are letting the would be robbers know that they will be the only one armed. I personally have not been back to BWW since the incident and probably won't go back. On a better note, the Chinese place in Anniston that I ate at tonight gives you a discount if you show them your concealed carry permit (5%).
I know some BWW are not antigun so before you write all off check with the each establishment. I was just wondering what places are pro and what places are antigun around GS and OB.
I haven't noticed any "no guns allowed" signs at any of the places I frequent down here yet.

Not very many here in AL post their establishments with 'No Firearms' signs.
You will likely not even find one.
MS however has them popping up all over the place due to the big mess they have going on with their new Law.
The Brady Bunch did a huge email/mail and phone Scare Tactic Campaign, telling business owners that it would lead to Wild West Shootouts.
And way too many fell for it.
Waffle House is anti-gun on a corporate level, most stores have a 'No Firearms' sign posted, but often inconspicuously.
But many individual stores couldn't care less if you're packing OC or CC.
Heck, I would be contacting BWW corporate, BWW is supposed to be friendly to all legal carry.
The next ALOC, 'Alabama Open Carry', meeting here in Mobile is supposed to be at BWW.
And many other ALOC regions hold their Meet & Greets at BWW.
I foresee an apology from the store's management and possibly a comped meal.
If a business has a anti-gun No Guns Allowed sign, then by all means do not patronize them.
But make sure they know that you're not and why. There are some nice business card that can be handed out doing just that.
Going in anyways can get you 'Trespassed', and entering after that happens is 'Criminal Trespass'.
In AL you must be formerly trespassed, informed by the business and LE that you're no longer welcome allowed on the property.
If an officer tries to arrest you for trespass without this happening first, you've a settlement coming for unlawful arrest.
