October November
I've been looking around for information on what the weather and temperature are like in October and November at the pier. I get a bunch of this and that.
So can you please tell me what it's like then , hot, cool, humidity, storm prone,.
This is for pretrip planing and packing. Thanks

First 2 weeks in October are warm and comfortable, the 2nd two coolness moves in from day to day, never been there in nov. But sure the cool days are more then warm ones.....it is fall, I have found on average 10 or so degrees difference between there and central Ohio.....
But hey I have golfed in january with mid 50+ degrees.....I would prefer a October trip, but had to jump on what was available, next year might be different.

Usually cool mornings, warm afternoons and mild nights. Barring any tropical stuff it is usually pretty dry and the fishing picks up considerably over the dog days of summer, at least in the weeks I'm there. I usually get by with a hoodie until 8am at the pier and then short sleeves until well after dark. With the exception of school fall breaks and that hectic Shrimpfest week in Gulf Shores the crowds are smaller and lines /wait times shorter and the pier isn't as crowded. The swimming pool water is noticably chilly but my half fish-half human kid dives right in. I am usually committed to chasing venison in November so I can't comment on what it's like then.

Those weatherspark average graphs look pretty good, but the (In)Accuweather forecast for a month in advance is voodoo right out of the Farmer's Almanac ;-) lol
