North Pole
I feel a little guilty since I havnt been fishing, ( due to the weather), or posting anything lately. Wanda and I are planning a trip North to see the kids and grandkids over the holidays.
I'm actually looking forward to nice crystal white snow hanging heavy on the pines. Something my neighbors may not appreciate, but I do miss the snow. Hope to do a little snowmobiling while there and maybe take in some ice fishing. Also have a sleigh ride through the woods planned. We don't mind winter weather in Northern Wisconsin as long as the temps don't get too cold.
Most at of you probably can't imagine sitting on a hard lake fishing with tip ups through an 8" hole but it was a way of life for me since I was a kid and hard to just give it up cold turkey, (pardon the pun).
Leaving here Christmas Day and Wanda's already got the car packed and planning on taking meals along because I'm sure nothing will be open.
I know after spending time up North, I'll start missing this awesome weather and fishing here with my "pier family".
For now, I wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmad and a happy and prosperous New Year.

I think that ice fishing would be fun if not for the cold! Enjoy the winter weather, Todd!
Me - I'll be back to fishing again in the Spring. See you then!

Thanks guys. Hope this doesn't end up to be the trip from h..l, like Haywire had. At least I'm not going through Atlanta, but Birmingham, Nashville and Chicago will be a challenge!

I hope the peace and serenity of the holiday season travel with you. Come back at least in time for the sheepshead bite. Heck, Slim may discover a February king bite. Best wishes.
