    New Mercury Verado

Check out Mercury's new V12 600HP Verado for Offshore Boats. It's something to see.

    Automatic Two-Speed Transmission
The two-speed transmission makes easy work of transferring 600hp to the gearcase. It doles out maximum torque and acceleration in first gear then silently shifts to second for efficient cruising and thrilling top speed. No shift clunk. No limitations. Only smooth, impressive power.

I could probably afford one of those if I could convince my wife to live in my pickup.
People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.

If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

Even if I could afford a boat that could hold 600 HP I would prolly put 2 300's on it, just feel safer with a back up, even in a 35' boat that is an awful big pond

Check out the animation of the engine on Mercurymarine.com. Seems that the left side head cam shafts are turning in the opposite direction of the camshaft sprocket and the timing chain idler sprocket is turning in the opposite direction of the timing chain. Maybe the animator had one too many beers, but then maybe I did!

These motors are for the 50+ footer center consoles coming out soon. Guarantee you will see four of these monsters on boats soon. People are crazy and obviously too rich!
