Hey Guys,
What's the most popular pier cart brand used on the Pier? Also looking for one that can quickly be disassembled for easy storage.
Thanks,

The most popular by far is the Angler's Fishing Mate. They come in 3 sizes. The only thing that you can disassemble is the handle from the body and the wheels and axil comes off. I have the Senior (large), it is a VERY durable cart and is worth every penny. I think they are $250 at J&M, not certain though.
I think the most popular carts are the homemade ones. Take a look at the "Pier Carts and Other Contraptions" thread to get some ideas then let your imagination soar. In my opinion, the store bought carts are great (reels on wheels, Angler's Fishing Mate, etc.) but they don't allow you to stand out. I am pretty sure you have all the things necessary to build a cart laying around your house. The only thing you really need is pneumatic tires. You can use the hard rubber or plastic kind but they will beat you to death rolling up and down the pier. Good luck with whichever decision you choose.
I am not saying you have to go all out like I did. I just love seeing the creative minds people have. There are many other carts more creative than mine. Take yours for instance, I would have never thought to use a wheelchair for a pier cart. Or what about the old push mower someone used. Those are the ones I am envious of. They may not be the most elaborate but they sure are creative.
This is a little off topic but if someone is looking for a cheap cart . I went to tractor supply last night and the had an upright yard cart with two wheels kind of like a dollie ,had a small shelf/storage area ,it had a rack for tools the holes looked big enough to put rods in.

Hand trucks work, I've used mine since 1990. And when you take the rod rack off, you can cart boxes and other stuff around, so its dual purposes.

Damn! I just gave away an old self propelled mower! Could have made that into a cart, wouldn't even have to push it LOL! Just start it up and go, would have made clearing a fishing spot on the pier pretty easy!
BTW - Nice cart FinChaser!

Stik, where did you get that at?
The one that gets your gear from the car to the pier and back and doesn't cost 1 penny more than you wanted to spend.
