    MiniMe on the Loose

My Mini-Me is on the loose.
He's at that age where I'm letting him out of the nest by himself to go fishing with his buddies, and he'll be on the pier unescorted tomorrow.

I know that a fair number of y'all know what he looks like and I ask for y'all to keep an eye out for him.
Feel free to smack him upside the head if he needs it.
And tell me, I'll smack him again at home for good measure.

He's a really good kid, nothing like I was.
But boys will be boys and show off around their peers when their parents aren't around.

    Please and thank you.

I don't remember ever showing off or acting up but my friends sure remember me doing it. I think they have a poor memory.

    I'll admit I was a juvenile delinquent.
Raised with no supervision and little discipline.
Hence I was always in some sort of trouble.

Nate has not been raised like that.

My thanks to all the regulars on the pier today who kept an eye on him.
    Thank you.
I feel safe letting him go fishing on the pier without me along.

He did real well after his friends talked him out of climbing the light poles and jumping off onto the dolphins, and Tater caught him before he could pluck and cook that pelican. It was a young, tender looking one, too.

Nathan did great. fished hard all day and visited with a lot of folks. Glad to see him on the rail, he's eaten up with fishing and that's a great thing. We will all be happy to keep an eye on him and give any help needed, he's a really good young man.
