Microwave??'s
My microwave started popping and flashing like lightning! Almost like there's metal/foil in it, but its doing it empty. Anyone ever had this happen? I'm guessing its gone ka poot and I need a new one. Just wanna make sure there's no fix before I go get one.
Thanks PnG

First thing I learned about microwave cookers was to NEVER run them empty.
It may be fried!(RETIRED) mostly.

Yep, my better half was melting some butter. I first thought the cup was metallic or something. Took it out and does the same thing. I figure its burnt but wanted to ask before I rip it out of the wall.

Best ditch it and get another. I remember as a teenager coming up with the bright idea of using the microwave to dry some clothes...didn't turn out well for me or my clothes after the parents found out.

Unfortunately, microwaves are pretty much disposable. Better safe than sorry, get a new one.
In college, I learned the bad way that poptarts came in foil-lined pouches. Sparks, flames and carbonized poptarts!!!Carl

Hey, I have had a lot of fun with microwaves. The best coming in form of dorito bags. Once its done sparking you have a miniature dorito bag. Quite funny if I say so myself. You can still read it and everything.

If you haven't thrown it away yet, put a CD in it, turn it on, and stand back. Pretty cool light show. Figured that one out one day working in the maintenance hangar at Auburn Airport...
Can't do it in a good one though, leaves a bad PERMANENT smell!!

I saw one yesterday but it was closed mouth. Would not eat anything thrown. I personally know of 3 that have been caught in the last two weeks. No kings yet.
