Met a Living Legend
Today we had the opportunity to meet a living legend, Royce Gracie.
I remember watching this man dominate the early days of UFC/MMA.
He seemed very personable and down to earth, with an infectious smile.
Even better, our youngest son spent the afternoon training with Mr. Gracie in a select group of junior practitioners who were invited to the adult training seminar.
My son came out of there having learned a lot, he was on big mental & physical high.
I love watching my son grow and mature in this sport, it has done so much for him as a young man.

I used to love to watch Gracie fight. His style of making an opponent cry uncle was great. Saw a documentary on him where he said he really didn't like to "fight", but would rather just go for a submission hold.

Yeah, watching his ground work was a treat.
He isn't physically a big guy, but he is a huge badass in the octagon.
Watched him bend a few other adult black belts into pretzels and submit them without any obvious effort today.Ragnar Benson:

I saw one yesterday but it was closed mouth. Would not eat anything thrown. I personally know of 3 that have been caught in the last two weeks. No kings yet.
