Anyone know what is going on with the little lagoon pass bridge? They were working on something next to it today. it looked like they were putting a new pipe up. The pass beaches are closed and i was hoping to find something to shoot bowfishing

They are constructing a temp bridge. Then they will start rebuilding the old one.
So is the pass going to be truly navigable after the construction?
Here are some pics from last month:

Those pillars are what they will place the temporary bridge on.
It's gonna be a while before we get that spot back http://www.acfafish.com/forum/images...n_rolleyes.gif
Pier#r is right, they said its expected to be finished around October or November 2015. (The entire project that is). So it wont really be fishable until I come back from college. Which is a bummer because we just moved on West Beach not even a mile from the pass. But maybe itll be nicer and the fish might bite better without all of that constant fishing pressure.
thanks for the great photo's, this gives me the fever(if u know what I mean)
Nope, that's a "pillow".
In the south we call them "pillers" ;-) LOL

I have to laugh about all this so I don't get angry, because it will likely be 18+ months before we get to fish in this area again!Quote:

b. Such a structure used predominantly for entertainment.
2. A supporting structure at the junction of connecting spans of a bridge.
3. Architecture Any of various vertical supporting structures, especially:a. A pillar, generally rectangular in cross section, supporting an arch or roof.
b. The portion of a wall between windows, doors, or other openings.
c. A reinforcing structure that projects from a wall; a buttress.
I talked to a guy yesterday who was "run off" by the guard at the shack for trying to park in the temporary parking lot.
When I was very young I listened to a sermon about someone turning into a pillar of salt. I thought that would be odd to sleep on a "pillar" made of salt. I wonder if there will be a way to access this area on weekends when the construction workers aren't there? I was counting on snagging a few live shrimp and finger mullet for bait there at night.
