It's a killer.
Just in case there are any left out there who don't think the Covid -19 is serious---it killed my stepson this afternoon. A few of you may have met Eric on the pier, he had Down Syndrome and my wife brought him out a couple of times even though he had no interest in fishing. He had been living at the ARC assisted living facility in Loxley for the last three months and those people have been wonderful, giving him better care than we could. He was in the Foley Hospital for three weeks with C-19 and had tested clear, but kept having blood pressure and other problems which the ARC people stayed right on top of---he was back in the hospital today having some tests done, happy and smiling until he had a pain in his stomach which was a blood clot to the lung. The doctor said it was the kind of complication to be expected from Covid. They were unable to revive him. He was 43 years old with the innocence of a child. It was quick and he's in a better place, now.
Thank you for listening, my friends.
Wear your mask.

My condolences. Words fail.
People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

I'm so sorry George. You and your wife are in my prayers.
The key to happiness is to avoid the things that make you unhappy.

George, we've only met a few times and I've never formally introduced myself, but you have my deepest sympathies.

My sympathy to you and family. Protecting others (even at some inconvenience to ourselves) is worth doing.

My thoughts and prayers for you and your family.
My daughter is an ER doctor at Sacred Heart in Pensacola, seeing 15 to 20 C-19 patients a day, and the stress is like nothing she has experienced in 10 years in the ER. Everything we can do to minimize the spread of this disease is worthwhile.

George,
I don't come on this site much anymore and this is certainly not the type of news I want to hear. So sorry for your loss. I know from talking with you its been tough at times. At least he's in peace in a better place now. Actually, I'm up in Northern W., at the cabin now where covid is a lot less than Alabama and taking precautions to be on the safe side. Not sure if I'm ready to hurry back. Even though you and your wife suffered a great loss, it was quick and probably painless. God bless the two of you for his care over the years.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
