It's better, now
I'm old enough for that feeling of stupidity to be familiar. I figured out the error of my ways in posting. I was just wanting to introduce myself as a new guy on the pier---not new to fishing, but new to pier fishing and I appreciate the help and patience from the regulars over the past weeks. There are some protocols that I want to learn and don't want to step on any toes, literally or figuratively.
Unfortunately, work is going to interfere with my regular attendance at the octi, but that will get better when the tourist season is over.
I caught a couple of bull reds before Debby messed things up, and three kings since, and I think I'm more hooked than the fish were. I've lived in Orange Beach since '72 and just didn't know what I was missing at the pier.
I've learned the names of some of the regulars and look forward to meeting more. If I meet you and forget your name, it's because I've reached the stage in life that I can hide my own Easter eggs, so it's nothing personal.
Good fishing to you, and see you later.
