6" of snow here in Knoxville last night. Don't know how it is west of here but our roads are not good right now.

I'm watching traffic on I65 near mile marker 351 go by about 45-50mph. The roads are wet and slushy but passable on the interstates. You should be fine until they refreeze after dark.

Yep, be realllyyyy careful once the sun sets. If temps drop quick, black ice may form. And nobody can drive on that.

lol, the refreezing part is what worries me, with leaving up here at 4:30pm, I usually drive until 10 or 11pm, and get a motel someplace in southern TN or northern AL. I was hopping they would have it cleaned up by tonight.
Thanks Guys

I65 is high and dry in most places right now. The snow that is piled on the roadside is melting and running across the road in a few spots that will essentially be an ice rink after dark.

Be Careful roads until you get to Birmingham and clearing up but will refreeze tonight. It did not make it to 40deg nor did the sun come out as expected. It is expected to go down to 21 here in Birmingham tonight and everything with water on it will freeze. Go slow and be careful use good judgment. Coming from Knoxville would you not come down I 59? the road is not much better but it is better than I-65.

I had planned on delaying my trip from Wed. to Thurs. Weather did not look good . We usually travel through Jhonson City ,Knoxville ,Chattanooga ,toward Birmingham and down 65 . With the forecast and afraid I( would not get out of my own driveway we came south and west to Macon . Except for a little rain we were fine and overjoyed we did not delay our trip We are currently in Lanett ,AL . Driving at a rate of 2.5 hours per day we will arrive at our due date on Sun. March 1 . Everyone has advised me that there was no need to hurry . I'm taking their advice . Slow Bill, has nothing on me .
I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
