Halloween at the Wharf
I'm bringing the wife and my three year old daughter for Halloween weekend. I see that the Wharf has a "trunk or treat" type event. Does anyone have any experience with that? I personally don't like huge crowds much, even less if they are anything less than good people. I know that in some places, Halloween events attract lots of freeloaders and riff-raff. It actually seems to be worse in places of "affluence", as I guess people assume that the "booty" will be better". How's the Wharf, or does anyone have any other recommendations? I'm staying at Ft. Morgan, and hope to make our Halloween activities the only time I come back in to "civilization" while I am down, which will include my pilgrimage to J&M.

Just in case anyone comes looking for info on this in the future, this event was pretty nice. There was a big crowd, but they were all polite and orderly. No need to worry about your little ones getting trampled, etc. The event is well organized. Be aware that you need to register (for free) and get wristbands to enter the trick or treating area. There was a bit of a wait in line for the wristbands, but once you are in the trick or treating area, things move along quite well.
We had dinner while we were at the Wharf after trick or treating. When we got back out to the parking lot, it was pretty deserted. We pulled right out of the parking lot, with no traffic beyond the norm.
I would/will do it again. This post is not to be reproduced in any fashion without the express written consent of Major League Baseball.
