Had a great time down there this week.
Thanks to the folks on the pier who helped me figure out how to catch a pier fish. Caught a few red snapper on a quick trip out with a friend of mine. I knew we were in for a treat when he told me to throw the first one back because it was to small (the de-liar put it just a shade under 10 lbs). Got home too late to slip down to the Cahaba and wet a line there but my hunting partner called and wanted to go turn the hounds loose. Got a good lock down tree with a young Treeing Walker male I'm training and saw the coon quick and back home in time to check the forum, say thanks to those of you who take the time to help out greenhorns like me. Now off to bed the salt mine requires I show up bright and early tomorrow. See yall again soon.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
