Thrill of a lifetime, or at least a weekend
I was shopping in Gulf Shores today and decided to return home by way of the beach road, so I took the State Road cut through the park where the new speed limit is 26 mph. It was such a thrill. I was able to maintain a steady 28 mph and at one point got over 30 mph, expecting to be trapped by the minions of Gulf Shore's Finest at any second. I tell you, the anticipation was unbearable. As I came to the end of my scofflaw run, I expected a full-on roadblock at the beach road intersection, but my criminal wiles must have overwhelmed the Park Rangers, too. Next time, I think I will try an unauthorized stop and park near a prohibited area and do something unspeakable to the rail fence. Dudes, and Dudettes, I've been on a natural high ever since. (Herb is natural, isn't it?)
