Good folks to do business with

I don't often endorse businesses, but there are some, like J&M Tackle, that do such a good job that I can't help myself.

Another one is Brunson Net and Supply on HY 98 west of Foley. They do excellent work and do it at a reasonable price. Last year I took my frazzled old pier net to them and they put in a new net and dipped it---the thing was dang near indestructible. I expect that my net may get used more than any other single net on the pier because I'm there a lot and don't mind folks using it (except for remoras, sailcats and toothy critters) and a lot of Spanish have been hoisted in it. At the end of the year, it was well worn, but had only one of the cords partially cut. I took it back to them and had it re-dipped and the one cut place repaired, and took another net that had been hanging in the garage and had them put a smaller mesh net in it (dipped, of course) and the two nets cost me a whopping $35.000. That's a real good value considering how many fish that treatment is likely to save.

And, the folks there are super friendly and helpful. They have all sorts of interesting gear that you don't find elsewhere, too. Even if you don't have a net to be refurbished, it's a good place to visit on one those days when the weather is too nasty to do anything else.
