'False' Spring or the real deal?
Which is it?
We can count the really "cold" days on one hand and yet these persistent temps in the 70s are forecast to return middle of next week after another 2 day cool spell (but nowhere near freezing)...
National Weather Service
Birds are singing for mates and some azaleas are in full bloom already!
and the water temp inshore has risen about 5 degrees into the middle 60s...

I'm betting real winter shows up in February.

I'd sure like it to wait 'til the 14th.
People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

Male white bass are heading up rivers and streams in TN and MS they normally only go up in mid/late Feb: the yazoo and feeders. The fish think its real. It would be sad if a cold snap kills off their babies. My dogwoods have buds and i have daffodils opening. The plants think its real.

I hope it's fake. ... coming down in march hoping to hit the Sheepshead bite. If you all keep up this weather it's gonna happen 1st of February instead of end of March.

I agree with Carl. I think that the first couple of weeks of Feb (maybe the very end of Jan, too) will see cold temps, some below freezing.

A month early I believe, but I hear those reports from multiple places. Still, real spring is 2 months out so winter is not done.
I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
