Thread: Dog Rescued in Open Water of the Gulf - Kayak

This happened down in my area. Woman was out walking. Drunk guy hits her and the dog. Dog takes off running, then swimming into the gulf. A kayak fisherman was out there and the dog swam to his kayak.

Go, let me get this straight....

This Talman idiot causes an accident, leaves the scene of the crime, and during his getaway, he runs over this woman and her dog while she's walking the dog?

Poor woman gets killed on impact, and terrified dog runs into the water and is swept into the current to be rescued by a kayaker.

I hope they take Barney in if the family of the late owner cannot take care of him.

That guy doesn't deserve to ever drive a nother vehicle. There is a cliche up around here about folks who act irrationally "crazy as a run over dog". Not trying to discredit the dog or his actions, but this refers to some strange things a dog will do after being brushed by a vehicle.

If I get hit by a car, I'm also running before it can back up and try again -- might be my wife and she won't miss the second time.

And doesn't Alabama have a lifetime supply of kudzu to chop once that driver is on a chain gang?
