Less than a month until pitchers and catchers report to spring training, starting 6 weeks of pretend baseball, followed by 162 games of filler before the playoffs. Then again paint drying can look positively stimulating.
Baseball was once described as paint drying with hotdogs ;-) LOL
But I enjoy watching it after the winter doldrums!
Lord knows---how did I forget about Golf? I think I'd rather listen to the sharks swimming around the cleaning station.
By the way, before injuries forced me to retire, I held both regional and state championships in watching paint dry and watching grass grow. I hold a Doctorate in both subjects that I earned from Auburn through the Internet.
I'm a baseball guy. I can't wait for the season to start! I will admit it can be pretty boring for the casual fan. I was an NFL fan for years but it is getting close to flag football. I have switched my football watching to college and find it more enjoyable....except the last game of the year. :rain
Haywire - How about varmint hunting? Or small-game? That's good exercise! And sometimes in small ponds, bass fishing can be great with just a week of 70 degree weather! There's always hogs out there that need shooting!
I'm telling you gentlemen learn to play poker There is always a game rain or shine hot or cold 24 hrs a day There are games at the Pensacola Dog Track 45 minutes away every day as well small tournaments and there is always Biloxi I took an early retirement in 2000 just to move to Biloxi and play poker and fish I played 8-12 hrs a day 7 days a week except when I was fishing Never had to worry about something to do
