Dead zone of winter
I'm thankful we still have the pro football playoffs and the Super Bowl, but aside from that, it's looking grim. During this last spell of rain today, I was flipping through the channels to see if there were any reruns I hadn't seen three times and was stunned to see ice skating featured. Now it's Hockey, ice skating and Gonzanga vs. Butelene CBK, none of which interest this good ole boy. Of course, I can watch Figure Skating in the afternoon and Dancing With The Stars in the evening---at least the girls wear interesting costumes. No more Lingerie League football to be found.
I sure will be glad when the fish start biting (real good) and the turkeys start gobbling. When the rain quits and the wind drops, I'll entertain myself with deer hunting for a couple more weeks, but there is a bleak outlook for a while past that. Maybe I'll catch the neighbor's yappy little Shi Tzui outside and find out what it looks when it's shaved.

I think that's a real good idea Mr. Hay, let me know how things turn out. Who has the biggest gun?

A squirt gun filled with tinks 69 (or any doe in heat scent/cover scent) can work wonders too. Actually, some of the shad scent i've seen at Wally world would probably work great - and you don't have to catch or handle any rodent sized dogs.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
