The muddy water was a good thing for me since I got back out in the woods. I managed to kill one of those turkey birds with wicked sharp spurs and a moderately long beard----and, no, I didn't shoot him just as he got off the short bus. It was an epic session with multiple birds gobbling, moving my calling location, dodging a coyote and switching to shoot him off my left shoulder. I'll be glad to tell you all about it in great detail when things get slow at the rail.
That's the only one I need this year, so now I can get back to fishing.
