not yet, going today for the week...... of our week short deer gun season....went out a couple times with the bow after our trip and saw nothing....there are some big scrapes appearing from a good buck.....the one good thing is I didn't see the neighbors dogs up in my woods....put out some corn and left.....so hopefully the corn will help with there visits the past couple weeks ....and my pistol doesn't miss at 50yards, if I use it
but not black powder either..... so no where near the same.and traded just for the deer hunting
I normally would never want anything bigger then a 44mag....but trading for this and only have 300 in the 45 I traded for it....I think I came out on top.....it didn't have the scope then either(at the trade)
shoots 480 Ruger 325gr-400gr HP's.....darn fine shooter out to 100yards the furthest I have shot it so far....scoped or not
.Bill..............

I've killed to does for the freezer so far. I passed up a decent buck simply because I hadn't processed the first two and had a house full of company---also it's a long season and I don't want to end it early. Of course, since I said all this, I probably won't get another shot.

No luck for me yet up here in Missouri. I shot at a doe the first morning I went out with my bow but she came in before I had even sat down in my stand good. I had just hung my quiver up and was trying to get an arrow out of it to knock up when she appeared. We had a staring contest a couple times while I tried to knock my arrow and by the time I was ready she had gotten out to about 30 yards. I totally misjudged the distance and shot under her. I had an 8 point come within 20 yards a few days later and drew down on him but while trying to get the pin on him I bumped the release with my finger and launched the arrow right over his back. I never saw a legal deer during the 10 day gun season but my son killed a nice 12 point opening morning. Hopefully I'll get another chance soon.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
