All 4 seasons in one week.

Back up where I grew up in PA, the high tomorrow will be 15, a low Zero.

Climate Change; if you don't like it now, just wait a few minutes and it will change!

Fin, that's what they say about weather in middle TN. Just wait a day and it will change. However, on the North Coast of America, just west of Cleveland Ohio we didn't have that problem...Every day sucked!

As of now all schools closed , most roads are icy per the news. Check with WHNT channel 19 for more info. This is from about Cullman to the Tenn state line. Temps below freezing thru tomorrow morning. Be careful.

I recommend you get a motel room and delay for a day. I-65 from Birmingham north is going to be an ice skating rink on Friday until well over in the afternoon. At 530am Thursday am Cullman (on I-65) was 32 degrees with sleet and freezing rain. Clanton (also on I-65) was 56 degrees and those two points are less than a 100 miles apart. I live on Lay Lake near Clanton and the temp dropped 7 degrees in the 90 minute period between the time I got up at 530am and 7am. The problems extend north of Birmingham up thru Tennessee as well. A real danger is getting stranded on I-65 overnite and even if you manage to get off the road the Hotels/Motels fill up quickly. I-22 which goes from this area to Hamilton is accumulating ice and sleet very quickly and will probably close soon. This will reach I-65 soon. I would say Saturday will be thawed out and safe to go.

Just like oldfisherman said, I just came to work in Birmingham and I do not think Birmingham will have a problem by morning but north to the Tenn. line may. However the ground temp is well above freezing and depending on when the rain slacks off and north wind picks up drying things off you might make a 2-3 hr delay and should be ok by the time you get to Cullman 5-6 hrs later. Should be in the 40's by 1-2pm. have a safe trip

Doubtful that you go through my neck of the woods here in WV but we got hammered last night with snow. Another 8".
