Thread: Conflicting pier comments

We road our bikes back to the pier about 11:30 this morning. A young man there said he thought it would be a couple weeks, and not likely there would be a partial opening to prevent a bunch of people being in the way. Later, we road back to the park nature center. A young lady there said they may have it open by the end of the week.
Neither answer works well for me. Maybe next time!

Market Manager for Alabama State Parks told me they were hoping Thursday.

The dive to remove debris from the pier has been postponed until a date to be named later.

Heard from Greg Lein (State Parks Director)...

We are working on an estimated time with contractor and hope to have a press release and other communications available later today.

Just got back to the house from the pier. They wouldn't let me walk out but could see the front rail is not up yet. Got many guesses as to when they might be ready to open back up. I'm going with Brent and he said next week. Don't be shocked when you do walk out and see all the rotten lumber still there either.
