Up to my thighs in swamp chasing a gut shot hog... Complaining to myself and cussing the pig all the way.

I really can't say I complain about hunting....I have killed plenty over the years and have lost a lot of the desire to go....I enjoy time out in the woods just watching nature and spending time with friends ....it always a plus to harvest something but doesn't ruin my time....
this could be in everyday life....we are truly blessed and some just don't have a clue.

Chili, Did you ever find the hog? had a chance to hunt in SE Arkansas last week. Had a guestimated 250 lb pig come out right at dark (was deer hunting). Put a 7mm rem mag in his shoulder, knocked him over but he ran into the nastiest, in your face head deep crap I ever tried to walk through. Crawled though a lot of nasty stuff tracking bears in Ontario but would have needed a snorkel to crawl through this place. Was dark, 40 degrees, raining, wind 20 mph.....could not talk my host into going any farther and had to leave the next morning before daylight. Would have been nice though as this was the first pig I ever saw!!

Nope, had to give up.

hog hunting is on my bucket list for things to do.... before I am gone....we have very limited amounts of them and when found the people take care of them quick....none ever seen on my place in the 7 years of ownership....they are around but slim to none....maybe one day

No.... I am truly blessed to have and be able to go and do what I want to there, and enjoy a little piece and quiet in the woods

Don't wish for hogs. You may get what you wish for.

Tennessee had to close all hog seasons and make it illegal because so many people were "transplanting" them to hunt and they were destroying everything they came in contact with!!!
