Camper Storage
Ya'll are so helpful with advice on so many things, I hoping for a little help from the locals and regulars. My family and I come to GSP with our camper two to three times per year. We absolutely love the area, the park, and the pier. I can't wait for our next trip and we even hope to someday have a place or a permanent campsite. I would love it if you all could help guide me to somewhere I could leave my camper part of the year in between trips. GSP has outside storage but it is a year at a time and there is a waiting list. There a couple local places I have found where I could store it some are booked up some are pretty pricy. I would like to find something reasonable near Gulf Shores that is safe with good folks. Heck even a farmer or someone with acreage to park it out of the way. I guess my other option would be a permanent location in or near Gulf Shores where it would be set up and ready to use. Again though reasonable, safe, and with good folks. If you have leads, tips, or advice I'd sure appreciate the help. If you would prefer to PM me that's fine also. Thanks ya'll. Love this site!

Wahoo Storage on Co Rd 4 down by the Oyster Bay Bridge (to Plash Island). You can inquire at Wahoo Marine (now Woodley's) about 50 yards closer to the bridge than the storage yard.
People are shocked to see sharks in the water around here.
If you see natural water taste it. If it's salty it has sharks in it. If it's fresh it has alligators in it. If it's brackish it has both.

Thanks for the info. I'll take all the leads and suggestions I can get. At this point the wife and I are just gathering information. I probably can't come back down until the end of May or first of June, but would like to leave the camper down until my fall trip at least. We would be interested in leads on anything from storing camper in someone's barn lot, RV storage, a permanent campsite, or maybe even a small lot in the area where my camper could be set up now and I could build later.... Just kicking ideas around. Sure would like to find a way to make getting down there from Indiana easier so I can be there more.

Check with ICC Marine, I used to keep my boat there and my buddy used to keep his camper there too.

I don't know what your situation is but I'm telling you right now you can buy a condo at Gulf Shores Surf & Racquet Club on West Beach which will more than pay for itself with rentals during the year and you can come anytime you want to one of the best fishing areas here and leave your camper at home plus they are appreciating at 8-15% a year now and if you want to come down permanently later you'll have equity to buy most anything you want That's a pretty good investment that you get to use and others pay for it

Rental market is hot everywhere in Baldwin County right now.
I have a 1400sqft 3x2 with garage house in Loxley, lost my current renter of 3 years, so I put it on the market at a higher rent that I was getting.
Went on the market Dec 1, had a contract within 2 weeks.
I've had it since Dec 2004 and have made maybe 18 payments myself. Gotta love it when someone else pays your mortgage.Carl

There are numerous places in the area that have RV and boat storage but I bet they all have a waiting list to get a spot. I would recommend getting a covered space with power. Countryman and Extra Space both have covered storage, but they both have a waiting list. I live here and it took me a few weeks of riding around and getting on all the waiting lists. Good Luck to you on finding a spot.

I store mine at the State park now but while I was on the waiting list I stored it at Uncle bob's on 59. They have covered and un-covered storage.

I’ll be sliding into town March 10-14. Can you have it warm and sunny for me then? And also, how about having the fish biting??? :D
