    Bringing an RV this time

I could not afford one of these when I got married, or when I had young kids. Now I am traveling alone to fish, but I can afford a used 25'. Unfortunately it was new the year before I married (1979!) and it is older than my kids by half. Nevertheless, I can now afford it! Danged bucket list.

OK, so where do I camp to be close to the pier? Don't tell me the state park because they claim to be full in early June. If I have to walk or bike to the park, I'd like to have enough energy to reel when I get there. Seems improbable that I will unhook all the links every day and drive the thing to the pier. Buying a car I can tow behind the RV makes this look like buying a boat -- the proverbial hole in the water into which money must be poured.

There aren't any rv parks close to the pier. The state park and Luxury RV on 59 are closest, but not in walking distance.
Your best bet would be to only hook up water and sewer when you only have to ou need to top off potable water or dump gray and black water. That way you only have to unplug power to drive to the pier.

Or rent a late model used car from one of the local dealers(cheaper than a rental company). I'm not sure which ones do this but there was a thread about this subject a few months ago here on the forum. Maybe Finchaser or Haywire could give some insight as to which ones do this and the cost.
