ours have been dead shortly after our return home.....darn cold up here....will be good hunting with some snow on the ground ....at least easier to see them
That's about what it looks like in the Blueridge today .Snow showers ,strong gusty winds and falling temps . Still not so cold that the trout will not bite .

That third picture from the top is the best I think, really pretty.
A couple of mornings ago I left my morning cup of coffee on the back porch when I went out to feed the birds and it froze so fast the ice was still warm.
